Ultimate Game Guide: Boomers chase Bendigo double in home opener
The Deakin Melbourne Boomers were unstoppable on Saturday night at Bendigo Stadium kicking off their 2019/20 WNBL campaign with a solid 15-point win over the Spirit, 87-72.
It’s the return leg this Saturday, as the Boomers take on the same opponents in their first outing at the State Basketball Centre
Showing no signs of an off-season blighted by recovery from a knee injury, star point guard Lindsay Allen was phenomenal in Bendigo, finishing with a game high 19-points.
Allen was pleased with the result, but is wary of a Bendigo back-lash this Saturday.
“We had a great start to the season in round one, but we know Bendigo are going to make adjustments for round two,” said Allen.
“We’re very excited for our first home game of the season in front of our amazing fans and supporters.”
