Train with a Boomer, presented by the Love the Game Sporting Club Program
Basketball is back, and what better way to get players back to loving the game than having them train with two of the best!
Our partners, Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation, are providing the opportunity for one team to be trained by and have a Q&A with Guy and Maddie.
To enter, all you have to do is take two minutes to sign your club up (this needs to be done by a club committee member) to Love the Game before Sunday 5 July and tell us how your club #lovethegamenottheodds in 25 words or less:
By signing up, your club is taking a stand alongside the Deakin Melbourne Boomers and more than 400 other Victorian sporting clubs who say no to sports betting sponsorship. Let’s help show kids that betting and sport don’t have to go together.
The winning club:
We’ll choose the most creative response, and the recipient will be notified by direct message on Tuesday 7 July. The winning club will choose a team to participate in the session. The session will be delivered via a virtual online (Zoom) session. Team members must be available on Saturday 11 July at 11am.
Melbourne Boomers has been a Love the Game partner since 2019. As a partner, Melbourne Boomers helps reduce the exposure of sports betting promotion and disrupts social norm of betting and sport.
Sports betting advertising is everywhere these days. Young people especially find it hard to remember watching sport without thinking about the odds. Ads today seem to suggest that you need to have a bet on the game to enjoy it.
Melbourne Boomers encourages their fans to Love the Game, Not the Odds.
