THANK YOU BOOM NATION!

March 8, 2024 | Melbourne Boomers news

Our aspiration to clinch the WNBL Championship reached its conclusion on Wednesday night with our loss in Game 3 of our CYGNETT WNBL Semi-Final Series.

This season has been filled with many highs and lows as we fought through adversity on and off the court.

It is a credit to our dedicated and talented athletes, coaches, support staff and front office, both what was achieved and how it was achieved.

The challenges included bringing together a largely new roster and managing injuries. We overcame these hurdles to reach our 7th consecutive finals series, Jordin Canada winning WNBL MVP and how we pushed the boundaries until the very end of Game 3.

As we officially wrap up the season, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our partners, members and fans who stood by us throughout WNBL Season 23-24.

The outpouring of support at games and through emails and social media has been truly overwhelming and deeply appreciated by everyone associated with the Boomers.

Though the season didn’t produce the outcome we desired, we consider ourselves fortunate to have the most devoted fan base in the league.

You showed us this by making our sold out Pride Game a highlight of the season, having the highest attendance in the WNBL and the support for our community programs such as Mamma Ball and WNBL in Gippsland. The result last night doesn’t diminish our pride in our team or in you – our incredible community.Thank you for your unwavering support and go Boomers!
