Our visit to the Valley

As part of our 2019/20 pre-season the Boomers crew headed to the Latrobe Valley to participate in a number of community and school clinics, the four day trip culminating in an official WNBL Pre-Season game against the Bendigo Spirit in Traralgon. 

Whilst out on the road, the team visited several of the Valley’s basketball associations and many local schools. They also played in a couple of friendly hit-outs with some of the local talent, including the Latrobe City Energy U18 boys side. The Triple Crown 3×3 Tournament saw over 30 junior teams compete at Gippsland Regional Sports Complex before a showcase 3×3 game between the Boomers and Bendigo Spirit.

The fourth and final day of the tour included an official WNBL Pre-Season game. We went down by two points in an exciting finish.
