Monique Conti Has That Winning Feeling

March 25, 2018 | Melbourne Boomers news
Star Deakin Melbourne Boomers guard Monique Conti is still on cloud nine today after helping the Western Bulldogs secure the 2018 AFLW premiership on the weekend.
Monique’s starring role saw her also claim the prized Best-on-Ground medal, proving to be the perfect shiny partner beside her premiership medal, both of which have been proudly hanging around her neck since the big game.
Showing all the dash and silky skills that have wowed fans across both the WNBL and AFLW seasons, Saturday’s accolades capped off a huge year for the recently graduated student who is now undertaking study at Deakin University amongst her sporting pursuits.

“Everyone at the Boomers is super proud of Monique, it’s quite an achievement to play in two national league grand finals two months apart,” said Boomers General Manager, Justin Nelson.
“We are very supportive of Monique and loved every minute of watching her play for the Bulldogs. Now we can’t wait to get her back in purple and reminding everyone just how good she is with a basketball in her hands as well.”
Conti’s achievements tip-off a big week for Melbourne’s WNBL team with another big player signing set to be announced on Wednesday morning. The Club’s latest signing is one that has everyone behind the scenes buzzing and is sure to bring a smile to the faces of Boomers members.
