MELBOURNE BOOMERS INTRODUCE ELITE ACADEMY
The Deakin Melbourne Boomers are proud to announce that we are introducing our Elite Academy program!
This new program is for our serious athletes that are looking to improve their game.
This program will be quite different from our regular Academy camps in the school holidays. These sessions will be of a higher level: more competitive with a greater attention to detail.
Players will have the opportunity to learn directly from some of our WNBL players and staff, compete with players outside of their current clubs, and develop new skills and concepts to evolve as a player.
We are holding this tryout to ensure that the right kind of players are joining this program. This includes your current basketball skills, athleticism, and mindset. Trying out does not guarantee your spot in any future Boomers Elite Academy programs. Those who try out and are not selected can still join in our regular Academy programs that are run in the school holidays.

Date – Saturday, March 23
Time – 3:30pm to 5:30pm
Location – State Sport Centres (10 Brens Drive, Parkville 3052)
Bring – A basketball, a reversible singlet, a water bottle and anything else you may need to play
Who – Girls or non-binary people aged 12-16
Registration for the tryouts will be $15
*For players that are selected, our first inaugural Elite Academy clinic will be held on 10 April from 9:00am – 1:00pm at MSC Parkville
