Scheduled to tip off on Thursday, August 10 at Melbourne Sports Centres Parkville, this free weekly program promises to provide a platform for individuals of all skill levels to connect, improve their basketball skills, and foster a sense of community within the sport. What is Mamma Ball?
Mamma Ball is a pioneering initiative that focuses on empowering women and non-binary individuals through basketball. Led by Deakin Melbourne Boomers WNBL players and coaches, sessions are tailored to suit all skill levels. From beginners to seasoned veterans, all are welcome on the court and for complimentary morning tea afterwards.
Beyond basketball skills and fitness, Mamma Ball is about building a strong and supportive community. It provides a safe and inclusive space for women and non-binary participants to come together, form bonds, and enjoy the sport they love.
