Maddie Garrick Commits To Boomers For 2017/18

The Deakin Melbourne Boomers continue to build a competitive roster for WNBL season 2017/18 with fan favourite and 2015/16 MVP Maddie Garrick signing on for another year, her third with the Boomers Family.
Following two successful seasons at the Boomers that has seen her game reach new levels, the decision to remain with the club was an easy one for the 25-year old.
"I'm very excited to be returning to the Boomers for my third season," said Maddie, adding, "The growth of the club over the last twelve months has been amazing and I'm honoured to be a part of the future direction."
"The Boomers Family continues to grow on and off the court, I love playing for the club and the incredibly loyal supporters we have. It's such a buzz being a part of it all."
Garrick becomes the fourth player signed by the Boomers, joining Monique Conti, Jenna O'Hea and Britt Smart.
Coach Guy Molloy is delighted to have Maddie back and is looking forward to further progression from his shooting guard.
"Maddie is an exceptional athlete and a potent scorer, her game is rounding out now with better defence and attacking penetration as well. We are very happy to see the continuation of her successful growth as a player with the Boomers," said Molloy.
"With a strong front line that we plan to announce soon, Maddie will be very difficult to cover next season. Everyone at the club is very excited to have her back," he added.
The Boomers will announce at least a further three signingsÊover the coming weeks.
