Giveaway Sunday Coming Up For Boomers

This Sunday the Deakin Melbourne Boomers will be going all out to make sure every fan goes home with something with the club celebrating Giveaway Sunday when they host Adelaide Lightning at the State Basketball Centre from 3pm.

Speak with any Boomers fan and they’ll tell you one of the things they love about a home game is the non-stop interaction with the crowd and the giveaways on offer. From a Bertocchi ham or an AND 1 t-shirt to a Big Watermelon fruit pack, a Wantirna Club dinner, Knox Groove Train voucher or a night’s accommodation at Adara Apartments – it’s all a part of the fun!

Over the last few years the Boomers believe the giveaway tally amounts to more than $50,000 and they have no plans stopping anytime soon.

“With thanks to all of our partners we really enjoy giving thing aways at every Boomers home game, it’s one of the exciting additions that comes with sitting in the stands and cheering your team on,” said Boomers GM, Justin Nelson.

“Best of all we try and engage with everyone – the kids, the parents and grandparents. It’s something we enjoy doing.”

This Sunday’s game will see the Boomers go to another level with player cards, t-shirts, vouchers, fluffy toys, fruit packs, hams, salami, stress balls and lots of Boomers gear up for grabs.

“Why do we do it? Because it’s fun, plain and simple. We want our fans to enjoy a complete experience from the moment they enter the arena to the time they drive out of the carpark.”
