BREAKING NEWS: AusDayEve 2 To Be Streamed Live
January 19, 2017 | Melbourne Boomers news
The Deakin Melbourne Boomers, in conjunction with Major Partner CMS Australasia, has confirmed that the holiday-eve marquee game on Wednesday January 25th against Dandenong will be streamed live.
Earlier this season CMS Australasia streamed the Melbourne Cup Eve game with success, producing a high-definition broadcast that was both well received and loudly applauded.
AusDayEve 2 is expected to attract a record crowd and together, the Boomers and CMS Australasia, wanted to ensure WNBL fans across Australia and globally didn't miss out on seeing the league's feature event of the regular season.
"CMS Australasia deliver an extremely high quality product and we are looking forward to working with them on ensuring people around the nation, and no doubt many fans overseas, will have the chance to see this marquee event," said Boomers GM, Justin Nelson.
Ticket sales for the game continue to rise and coupled with the Wear Your Colours promotion, which entitles any junior player (17yrs & under) wearing their club/team colours to gain free entry, a record crowd of 3,000 is expected to attend the big Melbourne Derby between the Boomers and Rangers.
"This game is everyone's chance to come along and support girls and women in basketball. This is the league's chance to show how popular the WNBL is," said Nelson.
"We need to show sponsors and broadcasters what this great league can deliver. If you want to maximise opportunities in sport you need to vote with your feet - get to the game, fill the stands, let's show everyone how passionate we all are about girls and women's basketball."

"With CMS Australasia streaming the game, I'm really excited for those around Australia and overseas who will now get the chance to see how big this event has quickly grown to be. I know both teams are really excited to be a part of it, and so should the fans be. This game is for the supporters," added Nelson.
