Boomers Wish Britt Smart Well For Next Chapter
The Deakin Melbourne Boomers have wished departing guard Britt Smart all the best following her move as a free agent to play with Sydney for the next two years.
The popular American joined the WNBL as a Boomers regular from SEABL team Sandringham for the 2015/16 season before going on to win two Club Awards in 2016/17 season with both the Michele Timms Medal as Most Valuable Player and the Players’ Player Award.
She joined the Team Leadership Group for 2017/18 and was a member of the team that qualified for the 2017/18 WNBL Grand Final Series against Townsville Fire.
“We thank Britt for her commitment and leadership during her three years with the Boomers and she will always have a fond place in the memories of our Members” said Boomers Chair, Tony Hallam.
“The opportunity presented to Britt is a good one and we wish her well.”
