Boomers Release Official Team List

July 22, 2017 | Melbourne Boomers news
As the days tick down to an early October start in the WNBL, the Deakin Melbourne Boomers has finalised its 14-player roster. Excitingly, the squad includes 11 homegrown players who have come through the Victorian basketball system.
Recruits Liz Cambage, Jenna O'Hea, Louella Tomlinson, Courtney Duever and Kalani Purcell headline a new-look outfit that has undergone a transformation to add more height to last season's undersized squad.
Boomers coach Guy Molloy said it was a major priority to add front court size and the work done by the front office in the off-season had addressed this.
"We've worked really hard to bring an exciting group together and we've managed to do it with some real stability as well, which is becoming tougher to do in the WNBL," said Molloy, adding "In a great sign for our planning and building, all up we have nine players returning from last season."
"We recognised the need to add some height to our strong guard rotation and we've done that. The squad is also a great mix of experience and youth, something all of our members and supporters will really enjoy seeing."
