Boomers In Action – Weekly Wrap

A number of Deakin Melbourne Boomers were in action over the last week, including American point guard Lindsay Allen, who started in two games for the WNBA’s newest team, the Las Vegas Aces.
Though the Aces suffered two losses on the road, Allen performed strongly and currently leads her team for dimes with an average of 3 assists per game.
Monique Conti led the way for the Melbourne Tigers in the SEABL with 24pts, 6rbs, 2ast, 2stl and 6 triples in a loss to Sandringham.
Jaz Shelley (pictured) did all she could to get the Sth Peninsula Sharks a win in Big V State Championship Women, unfortunately her game-high 27pts, 4rbs, 6ast, 1stl and 3 triples weren’t enough as the Sharks went down by 2pts to Hume City.
Ash Grant dropped 19pts, took 7rbs and handed out 4ast to help the Lakeside Lightening to yet another win in Western Australia, this time a 100-89 victory over Cockburn.
Chelsea D’Angelo scored 6pts in a loss for Kilsyth, the Cobras no doubt looking to bounce back this week when they play Bendigo.
