Boomers hosting first ever Mamma Ball

October 1, 2019 | Melbourne Boomers news

The Deakin Melbourne Boomers are thrilled to be bringing the ‘Mamma Ball’ to life! This exciting new event will allow for mums to come and shoot some hoops together while their young ones are being looked after.

Mamma Ball will be run by the Boomers new assistant coach (and former WNBL player) Larissa Anderson, who will be joined by Boomers players Kalani Purcell, Penina Davidson and Stella Beck. So mums, you will be supported by and learning from our very best!

This event is a great opportunity for mums to come together and meet up with other mums, while enjoying a fun and engaging basketball skills program, whilst also getting in a nice bit of morning exercise in, to kickstart your day.

An extra bonus to that the event is that it’s entirely free, and that includes the option of a crèche service, so mums you can bring your little ones along too.

The event is being run by the Deakin Melbourne Boomers and promoted by the Maternal Health networks through the Knox City Council. There will be three sessions run on the 9th, 23rd and 30th of October all held at the State Basketball Centre. Each session will run from 9:30-10:30am and will be followed by morning tea provided by the Boomers.

We hope to see you there mums!
