Boomers’ Ezi Magbegor stars in NBL1 Grand Final

Boomers’ superstar Ezi Magbegor has wrapped up her off-season with the Geelong Lady Supercats in Saturday night’s NBL1 Women’s Grand Final against the Kilsyth Cobras.
Whilst her team may have lost the Grand final, Ezi had an outstanding game, scoring the opening basket of the match and finishing with a game high 35 points (of Geelong’s 76).
In addition to a great night on the scoreboard Ezi contributed in other areas, adding 6 rebounds and 2 assists.
In all NBL1 finals rounds Ezi has been a key player for Geelong, including their semi final win against Bendigo where she scored 15 points and had 9 rebounds.
Ezi has been making a strong impact in women’s basketball this year, playing for Geelong in the NBL1 Women’s League and being selected in the 2019 Australian Opals Squad, heading to the FIBA Asia Cup in September.
With all the success and the strong basketball Ezi has been playing, we can’t wait to see what she will bring to the court for the Deakin Melbourne Boomers in the 2019 WNBL season.
