The Deakin Melbourne Boomers continue to be amazed by Bec Cole's thirst for reaching the top following the news that the dynamic guard has been selected to represent Australia at next month's FIBA 3x3 World Championship.
Cole, who stepped back on court during the past WNBL season following a lengthy absence due to injury continues to build strength and bounce back from adversity, overcoming multiple knee surgeries in her return to the top.
"I'm thrilled to be selected, it's always an honour to represent your country, I can't wait to get to France next month and give my all," said Cole.
Joining Carly Mijovic, Nadeen Payne and Amelia Todhunter in the team, Cole is confident the Aussies will do well against the likes of Ukraine, China, Japan and Netherlands, the four teams they have drawn in the group stage.
"It's a very competitive competition, the format is quick and fast, and the whole tournament is over within about five days, so we'll be prepared to go hard or go home," added Cole is her usual upbeat approach to everything in life.
