BOOMERS ATHLETES AT HOME AT ADARA

Adara Hotels Group are back to support the Deakin Melbourne Boomers as the clubs accommodation partner until 2023.

Since partnering in 2017, Adara has been home to many Boomers players, and this year will be no exception.

This season star imports Lindsay Allen and Tiffany Mitchell will get to experience the best of Melbourne at one of Adara’s Melbourne, Richmond, St Kilda or Brunswick locations.

As a partner Adara have been committed to supporting the growth of women’s basketball in Melbourne and are looking to see it grow even more in the coming years.

Adara Group Relationships Manager Candy De Lisen said the partnership was a step forward for both the Boomers and Adara.

‘At Adara we are excited to stretch our partnership to the five-year mark. We want to continue to support women in sport and strong Melbourne brands, and the Boomers give us the opportunity to do both.’

‘We are always looking to give back to those in our Melbourne community, the direction on how we do this has certainly changed during the pandemic, even with the hub season we stayed connected and supported the Boomers. After the last year of limited and altered travel, we are very much looking forward to a season with more games in Melbourne this year.’

Deakin Melbourne Boomers General Manager Christy Collier-Hill praised Adara for their continued commitment to supporting women in sport.

‘The support of Adara to support and grow women’s basketball in Melbourne has been fantastic. As a club we’re so grateful for their ongoing commitment, and are very excited to see our partnership extend to 2023.’

With prime locations in Richmond, Brunswick and St Kilda, Melbourne, Adara are ideal for anyone, from someone experiencing Melbourne for the first time to a Melburnian looking for a city getaway.

Deakin Melbourne Boomers star American recruit Lindsay Allen knows this all too well.

‘In the two seasons I’ve played with the Boomers I’ve stayed at Adara, and absolutely loved it. I’m really excited to be calling Adara home again for the upcoming WNBL season. To be in the heart of Melbourne and be walking distance to great coffee is something I can’t wait for.’
