July 27, 2017 | Melbourne Boomers news
The Deakin Melbourne Boomers are looking forward to delivering more action, more often this WNBL season following the release of the 2017/18 schedule, which can be found HERE.
Set to start with their Home Opener on Saturday October 7, the busy schedule will see Melbourne's WNBL team play 21 games in three months.
"The players are looking forward to a busy and eventful season," said star Boomers guard, Britt Smart.
"We are mostly looking forward to playing in front of our members and supporters more often."
The Boomers also recently announced the final player roster for the season, which can be found HERE.
"It's also exciting to have the league back on television with Fox Sports and for the players to again be able to showcase their skills to a national audience," added Britt.
With membership numbers continuing to grow, Boomers GM Justin Nelson is encouraging supporters to "step up and join the club as a season member", ensuring the best seats at the State Basketball Centre and to get close to the action and see the likes of Liz Cambage in her return to the WNBL.
"Liz is back home to play, as is Jenna O'Hea and Louella Tomlinson. It really is a great time to be supporting Melbourne's WNBL team and the best way to do that is by purchasing a membership."
Memberships start from just $39 and are available HERE.
